Rotary Internationals’ fight to eradicate polio started in 1985 and continues today.  We are very close.  The story of polio is a simple one for most of us.  Once the vaccine was developed the disease was conquered but only in parts of the world.  Rotary stepped forward and said that all children, world-wide, deserved to be free of polio.  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed to matching 2-to-1 all monies that are raised for the fight.  It is important to remember that we have to get rid of the virus everywhere or it can come back, re-infecting places where it was eliminated. AND WE NEED BOWLERS!!!!

World Polio Day is October 24.  Rotary will host a live stream event from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation headquarters in Seattle; you can watch it on endpolio.org beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pacific Time.  AND WE NEED BOWLERS!!!

Please contact Daniel Brice, 208-369-3696 or Daniel@digi-comm.com to sign up to bowl or become a sponsor.  If you have an item or two to donate for the Silent Auction it can be dropped off at Potter Funeral Chapel.
