The Rotary Club of Emmett Foundation, Inc. proudly presents the 53rd Annual 2026 Flip Flops & Flamingos Dinner & Auction, a fundraising event dedicated to supporting youth groups in Gem County. Please note that this year's event will be held at a new venue: the Roadhouse at the Mill, located at 520 W. Main St. in Emmett, ID. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, with registration for bid numbers and socializing commencing at 4 PM, followed by dinner at 5:30 PM.We encourage attendees to arrive early, dressed in their finest Hawaiian attire, to explore the exquisite desserts and auction items on display. Remember to have your phone handy for bidding on silent auction items and to receive notifications if you are outbid. The dessert auction will commence immediately following dinner.
The auction committee is thrilled about the new venue, which features a full no-host bar, large screens displaying auction items, ample parking, plenty of space to walk around, and accessible indoor restrooms. However, we still require your assistance: we are seeking table sponsors, auction items, and help in selling dinner and raffle tickets. Several youth groups are already selling raffle tickets, with half of the proceeds benefiting their respective organizations. Raffle tickets are priced at $1 each, with prizes including a DeWalt Tool Chest from D&B Supply, a $1,000 fuel card from Wild Willy’s, and a $300 gift certificate from Cowboys Chophouse. The raffle drawings will occur during the evening's festivities.
If you are a new business owner in town who has not yet been contacted, or if you are an individual interested in participating in this event, there are multiple ways to contribute: donate an item for the live or silent auction, attend the auction, bid, participate in the card draw and wine pull games, and purchase raffle tickets. To ensure a smooth auction process and proper recognition for your generous contributions, please submit your auction items, clearly labeled with your name, by March 15. Donations can be delivered to Tina Hefley at the Gem County Chamber of Commerce, located at 1022 S. Washington Ave., Emmett, ID. For any inquiries regarding the Benefit Auction, please contact Josh Wester at (208) 371-3449 or Allison Hatzenbuhler at (408) 891-1441.
