'let there be Peace on Earth" is the theme for the 2nd annual Rotary Peace Walk scheduled for Saturday, October 8 at 9:00 am at the Gem County Athletic Complex.  Walkers will gather at the Rotary shelter as we dedicate our very own Peace Pole, constructed by Rotarian Ben Mock.  The Peace Pole surrounds one of the wooden corner poles of the shelter itself.  Join us as we walk for PEACE in our world, in our community and in ourselves.

Peace Building and Conflict Resolution is one of Rotary's 7 Areas of Focus   As a humanitarian organization, Peace is a cornerstone of Rotary's mission. We see peace not as an abstract concept but as a living, dynamic expression of humean development.  By carrying out service projects and supporting peace our members take action to ddress the underlying causes of conflict which include poverty, discrimination, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and an unequal distribution of resources.

There is no cost to walk with us - come join the fun!  Did out that tie-dye shirt and let's enjoy the day, learning about eiah other and sipporting the cause of PEACE wherever we live, work or play!
