Calling all youth groups who have applied or wish to apply for funds from the proceeds of the 2024 Annual Emmett Rotary Youth Benefit Auction. Please come to a short meeting on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 5:30 pm in the Emmett High School Atrium with the Emmett Rotarians. Ask all the questions you may have about applying for funds from Rotary. In addition, learn how you can make money for your organization on top of the funding request.
These applications need to be received by Rotary by March 15, 2024.
We are very happy to announce that the theme of the 51st Annual Flip Flops and Flamingos Emmett Rotary Youth Benefit Auction is in celebration of “Gem County Agriculture”. Soon you will be seeing the Rotary Flip Flops and Flamingos around town recognizing table sponsors and Rotarians will be out and about seeking donation items for the auction. Keep in mind that the higher the quality or value of your donation will be beneficial to both the auction and you, as we are a 501c3 organization and we can give you a receipt for your donation. Businesses can be overwhelmed as they are approached by kids, who mean well, multiple times throughout the year. Through this auction, we formed a “one-stop shop” for the youth of Emmett when the time comes to search for funds for their program. The goal is for our youth to approach Rotary rather than go to individual businesses for fundraising. As a way for the youth to give back to their community, the Rotary Club provides opportunities for them to serve at various community events. If you are a business owner who has donated in the past, thank you, and someone will be approaching you within the next few months for a donation for the May 4, 2024, benefit auction. If you own or manage a new business, we will try to contact you, but if you don’t hear from us, please contact Josh Wester at (208) 371-3449 to participate. There are several ways a business or individual can take part in this auction: sponsor a table, donate an item for the live or silent auction, buy a dinner ticket, and attend the auction and bid on items. In return, you will receive recognition for your donation in the Messenger Index as well as on social media.
If you would like to be more involved with your community, join us on Thursdays at noon at Idaho Pizza on Hwy 52.  Questions? Visit our website https://www.emmettrotary.org/, like our Facebook page Rotary Club of Emmett, or call John Buck @ 208-369-1785.
