4H Continues to Impress

Our Community is so fortunate to have such a vibrant, well organized and comprehensive 4H program for our youngsters. Last week we heard from Allie Gertsch who told us about her trip to D.C. to compete in the VFW speech contest. She came in 18th and won a $2,000 scholarship. Then, Allie and her friends Rachel Drake and Flora Gertsch told us about the 4H Citizenship Washington Focus trip to D.C. in June. Our 4H leaders are doing a great job in preparing our young people for an appreciation for public service. (And just so you all know, a large percentage of our Youth Auction scholarships goes to 4H groups)
