Last week, Andy Wood and Melissa Weymouth, member of the District's only Rotaract Club, told us about their work in San Felipe, Peru. They were creatively assembling sand filtration units for individual residences. They also told about the giunea pig business (I never knew that was a Peruvian's favorite food!)

Since they are quickly "aging out" of their Rotaract Club, they are anxious to start a new Rotary Club. Rod DeArmond has been "assigned" by DG Terry Gilbert to be the pointman in helping them get started. Terry is encouraging our club to be their sponsor and mentor. At the District level, the goal is to form four new clubs this year. There will be more discussion to follow so stay tuned!
