DG Simko Visits

District Governor Kathleen Simko visited our club last week. She met with the Board for dinner at JD's on Wednesday. This was her 36th club visit since her term began July 1st. ...only 8 to go! She let us know that there are other clubs in the District who are gunning for us- they intend to win the District award we won last year.(We'll see about that!)Kathleen told us the story of her blue blazer...her introduction to Rotary was as a GSE member to Sweden some 20 years ago. She challenged us to pursue the theme of RI - "Reach Within to Embrace Humanity". She also passed her lunchbox to encourage us to support community hunger programs. We collected $65.00 which will be passed on the Friendship Coalition.
