International Project Update

Here is some really great news from Xavier Gomez, President of the Rotary Club of La Puntilla in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The technical training program that we are funding for Father Simon's school in Isla Trinitaria is getting up and running. Please see the message below, which I received from Xavier on Thursday. Thank you all for your club's contributions to this wonderful project. Hundreds of people will be trained for jobs through your generosity. Keith Axtell "Ref father Simon 2 good news Funds were already received and Projects were implemented and already inaugurated on last Tuesday 24 of june, the sewing and beauty parlor and medical center (San Diego Club) are set, and will begin attending public from July, we are preparing some photos in order to send you. Only was pending the electrical residential who will be completed and inaugurated on next week. The other good news is that father Simon got the complete budget for the teachers and monthly expenses of the school, from the Educational Authorities. The School seems to be a very good example to follow by everybody here, and he had a great support from other friends, he also got a complete Computer workshop with 40 computers. Something funny is that he got from other friends a very fancy tiles (luxury ones) so it looks as a school for millionaries, based on the tiles he used. You must come next year to see this."
