Pins 4 Polio SUCCESS
The recent Pins 4 Polio event was a huge success. We set a goal of raising $1000.00 and that amount was actually doubled, and then some! Fifty (50) bowlers participated in our 7 Pin No Tap Strike Out Polio on October 25 at KT's Lanes in Emmett. In addition, 15 lane sponsors and a wealth of donations for our Silent Auction added to the profits. THANK YOU, EMMETT for your support! A check in the amount of $2000.11 will be presented to a representative from our district Rotary in the near future. All of the profit goes toward the Rotary Foundation's efforts to eradicate polio in the world. We are so very close as only 3 countries remain in the world where polio even exists. The importance of eradicating this dreadful disease lies in the fact that if we don't it could return - yes, even in the United States.
