2nd Annual Pins 4 Polio
The Rotary Club of Emmett is sponsoring its 2nd annual Pins 4 Polio event on October 17, 2015 at KT’s Lanes in Emmett.  This is a 7 pin, No Tap event – just knock down 7 pins and it counts as a strike!  You can sign up as a team and bowl as a team BUT awards are given by a blind draw.  At the conclusion of bowling, everyone will turn in their score sheets and a “blind” drawing will take place.  The two bowlers who end up in the blind draw with the highest score wins!
World Polio Day is October 24, 2015.  The timing of late October honors the birthday of Dr. Jonas Salk, who led the first team to develop a polio vaccine.  Official World Polio Day activities will be streamed live on October 23 from the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City to viewers worldwide, highlighting the progress Rotary and its partners have made in efforts to eradicate the virus.  World-wide polio eradication is so close.  Now is our chance to change the world. To make sure no child is disabled by polio ever again.
Come join us for an afternoon of bowling fun at 12:30 pm on October 17.  The $25 per person fee covers your shoe rental, lane usage and lunch.  You can sign up through any Rotarian or at the bowling alley.  There will also be a silent auction!
Lane sponsors are another avenue to join the fun.  Several local businesses including Fleming Law offices, Potter Funeral Chapel and Little Enterprises have already agreed to be lane sponsors for a donation of $50.  Each will receive recognition in all our publications, official lane sponsor signs the day of the event and recognition at the event itself.  If you would like your company to be a lane sponsor, contact John Buck at Potter Funeral Chapel or Tim Fleming at Fleming Law Offices.
