Ren Faire Committee Meets Thursday

The first Annual Rennaissance Faire will be Sat/Sun October 8 and 9 at The Island.....from 11:00AM to 7:00PM. Last Week, Al Schneider came and updated us on their progress. Sounds exciting! There will be Falconers, Scottish Athletic games, Celtic bands, Dancing, improv plays, human chess, belly dancers (I think that's what he said), and much more. We have exclusive rights to sell turkey legs and cider. We still don't know of any other food vendors at this point, so we don't know what else we might sell. One of the requirements of the Faire is that all workers and volunteers must wear "period dress" ( think green tights). This has the potential to be a very big deal for our community!

We will have our first Ren Faire Committee meeting right after our regular meeting on Thursday. If you would like to work on the project, please plan to stay for a few minutes. We'll need everyone to participate!
