A small group of Rotarians gathered at the WICAP office on Main Street, Thursday, August 18, to distribute school supplies to anxious families as they prepare their children to go back to school. These are families whose budget could be strained if they had to purchase all the supplies required. WICAP received funds to purchase the supplies through the Rotary Foundation which came directly from the proceeds of the Youth Benefit Dinner and Auction held in May. It was indeed a joy to witness first-hand the smiles of the children and parents as they went through the lines to get their supplies and know we had a hand in it. The WICAP office staff had everything organized and, although the lines were long, the smiles never ceased. What a great service to our community by WICAP!!
