On October 24, Rotarians around the globe will observe World Polio Day established by Rotary International over a decade ago.  The timing in late October honors the birthday of Dr. Jonas Salk, who led the first team to develop a polio vaccine,  Official World Polio Day activities will be streamed from the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City to viewers worldwide highlighting the remarkable progress Rotary and its partners have made in efforts to eradicate the virus.
