DISTRICT INVITATION FOR INSPIRATION

Dear Emmett Rotarians,
 

Sometimes it seems that even when you are trying to do the right thing, the world turns a cold shoulder and says "no".

 

Dr. Sylvia Whitlock, an educator from Duarte, CA., was invited to join the Duarte Rotary Club in 1976.  Little did she know the firestorm that would erupt in her quest to do the right thing and become a Rotarian. Dr. Whitlock is coming to the Sun Valley Conference next month to share her story to the family of Rotary in Idaho and Eastern Oregon.

 

Pocatello Rotarian Rich Kirkham, president-elect of the Pocatello club, and a member of our conference planning team, has developed a short youtube video of Dr. Whitlock's quest to become a Rotarian.
