Happy New Year from the Emmett Rotary Club! We are so excited that this is the 50th year of the Emmett Rotary Youth Benefit Auction. This is just a reminder to be sure to include a line item for donations for the May 6, 2023, event at the Gem County Fairgrounds in your annual budget. It can be big or small, but we do need donations to have another successful auction to raise money for the youth groups in our community. Businesses can be overwhelmed as they are approached by well-meaning kids multiple times throughout the year. Through the auction, we formed a “one-stop shop” for the youth of Emmett when they need program funding. The goal is for our youth to approach Rotary rather than go to individual businesses for fundraising. As a way for the youth to give back to their community, the Rotary Club provides opportunities for them to serve at various community events. If you are a business owner who has donated in the past, thank you, and someone will be approaching you within the upcoming months for a donation for the May 2023 benefit auction. If you are a new business, we will try to connect with you, but if you don’t hear from us, please contact Josh Wester at (208) 371-3449. There are several ways a business or individual can participate in this auction: sponsor a table, donate an item for the live auction, donate an item for the silent auction, buy a dinner ticket, and attend the auction and bid on items. Since we are a 501c3 organization your donations are tax-deductible.
If you would like to learn more about Rotary you are welcome to attend our meetings, which are held on Thursdays at noon at Idaho Pizza on Hwy 52. Come, join us, and make some new friends!
