President Bob gave us a report on our club's progress toward our goals. He'd "promised" our District Governor that we'd have 31 members by the end of the year. As of today, we're at 28...so that goal is certainly achievable. We also have made participation in the Rotary Foundation a priority. We can be proud of the fact that 16 of us are on track to become "Sustaining Members" this year...mostly through our quarterly billing option. (A Sustaining Member is one who contributes $100 per year). New Sustaining Members can have their contribution matched - $100 by the club (that's where our Happy Dollars go) and another $100 from the District. So a new Sustaining Member means at least $300 to the Foundation! Of the 16 of us who are on track to become SM this year, 7 of those are 'New". By the way, our club has four Paul Harris Fellows on board. (A PHF is one who has contributed $1,000 or more over a lifetime)
