Scholarship Committee meets
The Scholarship Committee, chaired by Marilyn Knighton, met last week to consider 24 applications. Five were chosen to receive $500 college grants. They will be presented to the kids at a school program on May 12th. So, names are TBA.
Scholarships are given by the Rotary Club of Emmett Foundation, Inc. Scholarships are funded by interest earned on the principal, which originally came from the sale of the former Girls Home in Emmett. (For a complete history, look under Club Documents on the homepage).
